Add and manage pages
Create, duplicate, rename, and delete pages.
Every site starts with a homepage. You can add as many pages as you need from the pages menu at the top center of the editor, which shows the name of the page you're editing.
Open the pages menu#
Select the page name at the top center of the editor. The menu lists your pages on the left, with Homepage first and the rest by their URL, like /about. Select a page to switch to it and see its details.
Create a page#
- Open the pages menu and select Create Page.
- Enter a Page title, like About Us.
- Enter a URL slug, like
about-us. This is the end of the page's web address. - Select Next.
- Choose a template, then select Create page.
Templates include Blank, Landing, About, Features, Pricing, Gallery / Work and Full-page gallery. If only one template is offered, the button says Create and skips this step.
Slugs can only contain lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Each page needs its own slug. If you reuse one, you'll see "A page with this slug already exists".
Rename a page or change its URL#
- Open the pages menu and select the page.
- To rename it, edit Page Title on the Meta tab.
- To change its address, open the Slug tab and edit Page URL.
Changes save automatically. The page title is also the title shown in browser tabs and search results. See Page titles, descriptions and social images.
The homepage has no Slug tab. It always lives at your site's main address.
Duplicate a page#
- Open the pages menu and select the page.
- Select the three-dot menu at the top right of its details.
- Select Duplicate Page.
The copy keeps the original's title and content. Its slug is the original's with -copy added, like about-us-copy. A copy of the homepage gets home-copy. If a page with that slug already exists, rename it first.
Delete a page#
- Open the pages menu and select the page.
- Select the three-dot menu, then Delete Page.
- Select Delete to confirm.
Deleting a page can't be undone. The homepage can't be deleted.
Add a close button#
Pages other than the homepage have a Close button option on the Meta tab. Turn it on to add a button in the page's top corner that goes back to the previous page, or home.
Put your changes live#
New pages and page changes reach your live site when you publish. See Preview and publish.
